The Power of a Fully Integrated Esports Betting Infrastructure

As competition among sportsbooks for esports bettors increases, so too does the need to get it right. Marketing and special pricing can only get you so far, and those also eat up your profit quickly. When your promotion ends, your book needs a strong enough esports product to keep bettors coming back.

This is where the ball often gets dropped.

Many providers, in their attempts to add esports betting to their books, "rebuild" or hack together systems designed to handle traditional sports betting. Unfortunately, operators who select those solutions often find the ROI simply isn’t there. And worse, they blame it on esports, not on their offer. What gets missed is that esports and traditional sports betting are very different—in their pace, their volatility, and their markets.

At Oddin.gg, we didn’t adapt a traditional sportsbook stack for esports. We built ours from the ground up, putting esports at the center of the product and focusing on infrastructure that could keep pace with the unique needs of esports betting.

This wasn’t just a technical preference; it was a strategic necessity that dictates the quality, speed, and ultimate value of the data we deliver to our partners.

Solving for the needs of esports: A dedicated infrastructure

Esports follows a continuous, year-round calendar, which, combined with eSims and other fast-betting content, makes it a 24/7/365 activity. At any given moment, someone, somewhere in the world, is watching a stream, checking scores, and wanting to place a bet.

During major tournaments, and increasingly, even regional ones, we aren’t dealing with hundreds of viewers; we’re talking about millions of viewers. This scale requires a dedicated system capable of processing data in real-time, all the time.

By owning our infrastructure, we ensure that content is always ready and data is always available, regardless of time zone or viewer load.

Why do you need a vendor with an end-to-end infrastructure?

The term "end-to-end" is often used as a buzzword, but, for us, it represents a complete cycle of data management. It means integrating with every possible resource to collect data, then using that data to produce sophisticated models in microseconds.

In a fully integrated system, the data flows instantly through several critical stages:

  • Immediate computation: Data is computed in real time throughout the match, including during critical moments, reducing latency, improving pricing, and optimizing uptime.
  • Real-time risk management: The data flows directly into trading tools, where it’s analyzed for risk instantly and continuously.
  • Pushed to user interface: This entire package is then delivered to the front end, be it Oddin.gg’s iFrame or via API to the book to provide the optimal experience for bettors.

This level of integration allows us to enhance the experience with additional data layers that include widgets with player, team, match, and tournament statistics, and unique features like in-game BetBuilder and the one-of-a-kind BetPeek, none of which are possible when the system is fragmented or slow.

Because we handle the process from the initial data point to the final front-end display, we can ensure a superior and consistent user experience.

Innovation born from integration

Having total control over our technology stack allows us to innovate faster and more effectively. A prime example is our BetBuilder, the industry’s first to support esports and eSimulators for both pre-match and live betting. Because it’s built into our core logic, it can provide fast, intuitive combos that keep bettors engaged. The result for operators? Up to double-digit margins depending on setup.

Similarly, BetPeek by Oddin.gg, offers an "ultimate experience", allowing viewers to watch the game through the eyes of the players. This level of engagement—seeing exactly what a pro player sees in real time—is only possible with dedicated tooling to process and enhance live streams on the fly.

The human element: partner-led solutions

While we’re proud of our technology, we know that building the "right" product requires more than just code; it requires listening. At Oddin.gg, we view customer feedback as the most important data point to guide our work.
