We work with purely esports titles such as Dota2, LoL, CS:GO, as well as esports analogues of traditional sports like FIFA (soccer), NBA2K (basketball), and more. Based on the data we have available, we create and continuously improve mathematical models that help us predict match odds.
With a team of 170+ people, based in the Czech Republic and many other locations across Europe and Asia, Oddin.gg is growing at a fast pace and is looking for an experienced developer.

Your position among fellow Vikings:

Oddin is summoning a Viking or a Valkyria to join the raid as a QA Lead. You’ll help shape our QA processes as we transition toward automation. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality software and want to grow with an innovative company, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

What would you work on:

• Take Ownership of Software Quality: You will be responsible for the overall quality across multiple cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring consistency in testing and delivering high-quality software in our cloud SaaS platform.
• Define the Quality Strategy: Set the quality strategy by selecting the right tools, methodologies, and approaches that align with company goals. This includes defining processes and best practices for both manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on Manual Testing (50% of the time): A significant part of your role will involve performing manual testing to ensure quality across critical areas of the platform. Your deep involvement in testing will give you insights to drive improvements and set standards for testing across the teams.
• Comprehensive Review of Testing Scenarios: Conduct a complete review of existing testing scenarios and the overall system for managing these scenarios. Identify gaps, ensure coverage, and align testing efforts with the product’s functional and performance requirements.
• Coordinate Testing Efforts: Oversee the coordination of testing across engineering teams, managing the capacity of QA engineers and ensuring efficient and effective test coverage.
• Monitor and Report on Bugs: Track and oversee bug reports across teams, developing and presenting relevant quality metrics to leadership, ensuring transparency and driving continuous improvement.
• Automation Strategy: Develop a roadmap to gradually move from manual to automated testing, ensuring that the right tools and resources are in place to support this transition over time.

Skills you will need:

• Leadership and Ownership: Experience leading QA efforts and taking full ownership of software quality in software environments.
• Quality Strategy and Tools: Expertise in setting a quality strategy, choosing appropriate testing tools, and defining both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Hands-on Testing: Strong ability and willingness to perform manual testing as part of a cross-functional team, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Test Coordination: Strong ability to coordinate testing across multiple teams, manage workloads, and ensure the QA engineers are working efficiently.
• Bug Tracking and Metrics: Proficiency in overseeing bugs, tracking their progress, and reporting clear quality metrics to stakeholders using tools like Jira and TestRail.
• Automation Experience: Experience with or knowledge of transitioning from manual to automated testing, and the ability to guide teams through this process while selecting the right tools.
