Python Engineer

Oddin.gg is the global leader in B2B esports betting solutions. We are delivering an end-to-end ecosystem to bookmakers across the globe. Operators partnering with Oddin.gg can attract a new generation of bettors, drive betting volumes 24/7, and improve sportsbook profitability.

We work with purely esports titles such as Dota2, LoL, as well as esports analogues of traditional sports like FIFA (soccer), NBA2K (basketball), and more. Based on the data we have available, we create and continuously improve mathematical models that help us predict match odds.

With a team of 200+ people, based in the Czech Republic and many other locations across Europe and Asia, Oddin.gg is growing at a fast pace and is looking for an experienced Python engineer.

As a Python Engineer, you'll join a dynamic team passionate about esports and machine learning.

Your duties in the shield wall:

As a Python Engineer, you'll join a dynamic team passionate about esports and machine learning. Your main responsibilities will be to

• Collaborate with the CTO, BE, and ML engineers from different teams to design optimal architectures for existing and new services.
• Oversee the core Python codebase containing Oddin's mathematical and ML models.
• Advocate for and implement the best software development practices within the team.
• Explore and integrate new Python ecosystem advancements.
• Help with efficient implementation of mathematical models and algorithms and improve the current ones.

Skills you will need:

• Strong Python development with at least 2-3 year experience
• Proficiency in Git, GitHub, and version control
• Experience with Docker development and deployment
• Experience with Cloud services (AWS, Azure etc)
• Familiarity with SQL databases

Heroic to posses yet not mandatory:

• Solid grasp of mathematical concepts
• Experience with AWS (S3, ECS, Lambda functions)
• Service communication using gRPC and protocol buffers
• Python services architecture skills and experience.
• Experience with improving Python runtime using Cython and other options
