League of Legends Expert Data Scientist

We are looking for a League of Legends expert with strong data science skills to join our team. A dedicated specialist for LoL who understands the professional scene, drafting strategies and in-game mechanics. Your goal is to translate deep in-game knowledge into predictive edge for our prematch and live models using premium datasets. You will be the connection between the more theoretical quant world of mathematical models and more practical side of game experts going from match to match assessing prematch and in-game situations. You are proactive, organized, and possess a high sense of ownership.

What You'll Be Working On:

• Prematch Modeling: Maintain and improve our predictive models for LoL, validate match pricing and generate insights that go beyond gut feeling.
• New betting markets: Analyze match data for new market creation & validate the quality of our model inputs.
• Collaboration: Act as the analytical link between our data science team and game experts and turn feedback into features.
• Internal Tools & Visualization: Develop and maintain our internal dashboards to help game experts visualize player statistics, team trends, and meta shifts.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Expert knowledge of LoL competitive scene, current meta, in-game mechanics and drafting strategies.
• Experience with Python programming with a focus on Data Science.
• Solid foundation of statistics, mathematics and ML.

Nice to Have:

Practical experience with:

• Applying ML approaches for predictive analysis of League of Legends matches.
• Data visualization tools or libraries.
• Rating systems (ELO, Glicko, TrueSkill).
• AWS
• Esports betting.
