Launch and scale a brand-new tribe for a green-field product. Begin with a single cross-functional squad and grow it into ≈ 3 delivery teams distributed across Europe and our Dubai hub. The product opens an entirely new line of business for Oddin and must ship its first revenue-ready version by the end of 2025.

We deliver a comprehensive solution specializing in esports titles such as Dota2, League of Legends, and simulators like FIFA (soccer) to bookmakers across the globe. Based on data from our unique partners, we create and continuously enhance our own mathematical models to predict match odds.

What would you work on
👍 Define the tribe-level operating model and ceremonies. Our squads already run reliable team-level ceremonies (backlog refinement, CI/CD, on-call). You’ll architect the governance, planning cadences, decision forums, and shared ceremonies that let several teams act as one cohesive tribe.
👍 Lead every engineer on day 1, then mature the management stack. Start as the direct manager for all engineers; once headcount justifies it, build and mentor a second-line layer of Engineering Managers while keeping delivery predictable.
👍 Drive the v1 roadmap to the finish line. Break large bets into testable tickets, juggle discovery spikes, trim scope when needed, and hit the year-end release date that enables next-year revenue.
👍 Tackle technical & organisational debt. Rapid growth left tech and org debt; you’ll partner with the Group Product Manager, Quants Lead, and Staff Engineers to prioritise, roadmap, and burn it down without stalling delivery.
👍 Review and guide architecture. Reuse existing components where sensible, chart migration paths, and approve major design decisions and ADRs.
👍 Partner widely and lead cross-functionally. Work hand-in-hand with Product and Quant peers, and own programmes that raise efficiency or platform leverage across engineering, product, and design (EPD).
👍 Operate with executive visibility. Present quarterly business reviews on tribe health, roadmap progress, and debt burn-down; escalate risks with options, not surprises.
👍 Foster a remote-first culture with quarterly meet-ups. Keep distributed collaboration fluid day-to-day and reinforce cohesion during face-to-face sessions each quarter.

✔ leadership. Proven success leading multiple engineering teams through first-line managers; adept at scaling organizations, coaching managers, and refining structures during high growth.
✔ Engineering pedigree. Hands-on background as a Senior Software Engineer (or equivalent) building distributed cloud systems; decent at rigorous architecture and code reviews while operating 100 % in a leadership capacity.
✔ Cloud-native architecture depth. Practical mastery of AWS (VPC, IAM, autoscaling, observability, fault-tolerance) and microservice patterns—able to steer migration plans for legacy services without derailing delivery.
✔ Broad technology exposure. Familiar with Go, Java, or C#, Kafka, or Redis in production—able to spot design flaws, and ask the right questions without being today’s deep specialist.
✔ Operating-model designer. Experienced in establishing governance, metrics, and ceremonies that let multiple squads operate as a single high-throughput unit.
✔ EPD-wide influence. Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives that improve efficiency, processes, or platform capabilities across engineering, product, and design.
✔ Delivery mastery. Track record of turning broad objectives into milestone schedules that meet hard ship dates—sequencing spikes and pruning scope when required.
✔ Agile operator. Fluent in stand-ups, retros, velocity, lead-time, and risk logs—able to bootstrap ceremonies and evolve them as teams multiply.
✔ People multiplier. Skilled recruiter and coach who spots emerging leaders, guides them into management roles, and keeps regrettable attrition low.
✔ Clear communicator. Adept at aligning Product, Design, Quant, and Exec stakeholders, surfacing risks early, and advocating technical trade-offs.
